Bringing the right visitor to the event
Each Australian Home Show is supported by a comprehensive and strategic pre-show marketing campaign, developed through extensive market research and 25 years experience in managing and marketing exhibitions in Australasia. The marketing campaign focuses on bringing the primary target market — active home improvers— to the Home Shows to ensure the event is a success for you.
- Television
dmg world media undertakes an annual bulk-buy of television media for its portfolio of exhibitions. This purchasing power guarantees a heavyweight TV advertising campaign with a high reach and frequency, which targets our audience, driving visitation to the HIA Home Shows — something unattainable for smaller exhibition organisers.
- Radio
A broad spread of our target market is reached through radio, utilising a combination of three to four major radio stations. Traditional advertising is accompanied by competitions, giveaways, live broadcasts and interviews.
- Public Relations
A comprehensive public relations strategy is deployed, targeting major national, metropolitan and regional print, broadcast (TV and radio) and electronic media. Both long and short lead publications are approached with interesting and quirky angles about the event itself as well as the new products and special deals offered by you, our exhibitors.
The campaign focuses upon the topicality of the HIA Home Shows’ principal features, key sponsors, attractions, and exhibitors, to generate newsworthy publicity.
- Direct & Internet
Focused promotion will occur through additional marketing channels including targeted e-newsletters to our extensive visitor database, viral and guerrilla campaigns, signage, flyers/brochures, and newsletters.
- Print
Strong media partnerships have been built with both News Limited and Fairfax, with large space advertising and editorial support secured in home interest supplements.
This is further supported with an online presence and partnership with domain.com. In addition we undertake a heavyweight advertising campaign in consumer home/lifestyle magazines and selected suburban newspapers.
- HIA Promotion
This year The Housing Industry Association will also add a considerably extensive promotional campaign to the mix. They will be extensively supporting the new “Homes Week’ initiative in each state, taking place during the week of each show. In addition the HIA will be backing their state conference and national awards with a campaign targeting their network of 40,000 HIA members.
- Exhibitor Assistance
dmg’s staff are always on hand to offer advice, support and provide additional materials to help you promote your presence at the show.
